Exeter University Scholarship
Two of our longest standing partners are alumni of Exeter University and in recognition of this we established the Goodman Derrick LLP Scholarship at Exeter. The scholarship benefits a deserving student in the School of Law and is to be used to pay for tuition fees, maintenance, accommodation and living costs.
Village Education Project (Kilimanjaro): A former member of Goodman Derrick, Katy Allen MBE, runs an International NGO in Tanzania which promotes and enhances education for children in outlying villages. Goodman Derrick provides administrative support to the Trustees when they visit the UK and we undertake a number of internal fundraising activities to assist this particular charity to which we enjoy a close connection, in spite of our lack of proximity.

Goodman Derrick’s CSR team is headed by an equity partner and his team consists of our Finance Director and two members of our Business Development department. Established in accordance with guidance from The City of London’s “Heart of the City” charity, our team co-ordinates the firm’s activities and leads its initiatives.
There are two facets to our CSR Programme: the first relates to our internal operations (such as our efforts in relation to energy efficiency, waste generation and recycling). The second relates to our position within our community.
Our external CSR programme encompasses a number of activities, including:
Matched funding scheme: Although the firm takes part in certain fundraising activities collectively, e.g. our City Road Race team, we recognise the particular fundraising efforts made by our individual employees. In order to encourage such individual endeavours, we match money raised by our employees for charitable causes. This matched funding can take the form of direct sponsorship or a simple donation to match the money already given by the employee
