If you require more information about the services offered by the private client team, or if you wish to make a specific enquiry, please contact Ian Bradshaw 0207 404 0606.
Whether it is a family matter, preparing tax efficient wills and trusts, administering estates, dealing with enduring powers of attorney or Court of Protection work, we work closely with clients. We provide a personal and responsive service and take a close interest in our clients ’ welfare.
Goodman Derrick LLP recognises the particular importance to the private client of personal contact and continuity.
Clients develop a strong link with the firm and their contact partner is responsible for ensuring that our services to the client are delivered swiftly and efficiently.
We advise on a wide range of matters:
Wills
We are able to offer expert advice on the preparation of Wills to give effect to our clients’ wishes in the most tax effective way. If it is appropriate, a partner can be appointed executor.
Probate and Administration of Estates
We have wide experience in obtaining probate including dealing with the estates of non-domiciled persons and assets overseas, claiming tax exemptions for heritage property and advising on variations of the Will.
We are able to deal with contested applications for probate and challenges to the Will.
Trusts
We establish trusts both in the UK and offshore and can work closely with other professional advisers to achieve our clients’ objectives.
Powers of Attorney
Many clients prefer to make their own arrangements as to who should manage their affairs if they are no longer able to do so themselves. We can advise on (enduring) lasting powers of attorney and if appropriate, act as the attorney, either alone or with other family members.
Court of Protection
We can register enduring and lasting powers of attorney with the Court and have experience in dealing with contested applications to register, applications for statutory Wills and receiverships.
