Our aim is to enable our clients to meet their business objectives efficiently and effectively.
Our skill, as lawyers specialising in property matters, is to ensure that those objectives are handled by an individual or a team that provides the most relevant expertise.
- We advise individual and corporate clients on a variety of property-related matters, including the acquisition or disposal of freehold and leasehold premises and the many other aspects of property ownership and occupation.
- Representing a wide range of UK developers and property investors, we advise at all stages from site acquisition and finance through to the final sale or letting of the accommodation, whether office, retail, industrial, leisure or residential.
- When handling development and construction projects, we draw on the resources of other specialist groups within our firm. Our construction law colleagues provide the necessary support on all contentious and non-contentious aspects of this specialist area.
- In conjunction with our firm’s Corporate and Banking Groups, we advise on aspects of property finance, whether acting for the lender or borrower. When advising lenders, we work closely with our Insolvency Group on the enforcement of loan security or in rescue operations such as loan restructuring.
- In turn, we assist our Insolvency, Corporate and Banking Groups when they are dealing with property issues arising in their area of specialisation.
- We advise on matters of planning law, obtaining consents and conducting appeals and hearings.
Our expertise includes lease renewals, rent reviews, service charge issues and enforcement of leasehold obligations.
